Our Last Project

     During this last project I learned that my group sucks ass. I also learned that I have no desire to follow this as a career when I get out of this awesome school of ours. However I did learn how to run the camera.
     As far as time management goes I thought my group (even though they suck ass) did pretty good. I think this because we had a lot of people gone everyday and we still managed to get the project completed on time.
     For group participation I will tell you my famous words. My group Sucks Ass. This meaning they suck ass in every way possible. Participation, attitude, and they defiantly didn't want to make this project fun, more like miserable.
     As far as casting, editing, and problems went, it was all fairly smooth. The only problems we had was our group being gone. The casting went easily. The editing was up to Jess and she did an awesome job. Jess is the only one who did not suck ass in our group. She deserves a 100%.

Today I actually did something. I made a kick ass rundown sheet. It turned out to be exactly 3:00 longs so we should be set.

We are going to right today. My group sucks ass and doesn't tell me much. So im not real sure what were doing. Im just going to hang out until its time to film.

Today we need to finish our Treatment as well as our Proposal. Then we are going to get our storyboard done. Then hopefully start filming.

scripts

It is important to have a lot of different scripts. This is because some scripts work for people but not others. Actually to be honest I have no idea why one script wouldn't work.

What I accomplished/ learned

Today what i accomplished was i threw out a thousand different ideas about a movie trailer. We finally decided on an American Pie based movie about a nerd that the ladies want. I learned that if you put for a good effort in this class, you have a good chance of passing the class.

Our Plan Today

We need to read our parts. We are also coming up with a proposal and treatment. So basically were gunna do a whole lot of nothing it sounds like.

Project

I would like to to a bad ass project. Something that involves being outside. Like hunting or 4 wheeling or something in that nature.

The Rundown

The rundown is important because it contains all the information. The one who would use the rundown is the talent. It explains everything they need to do from the beginning to the end.

Today

Today i came into class and did my bell work. Then i went to the bathroom and it was successful again. Then I listened to the lecture and prooved Thereasa wrong i think. It was an outstanding video though.

Scripts

After we went over scripts I learned that there is a lot more to it than i thought. There is about 4 different types of scripts you can do. The 2 column was my favorite script because it was the most simple but still went over everything that you needed to know.

Producers

The producers job is by far the most important. Everything that has to go down, goes down because of the producer. They make the most money out of the whole set and there is a reason why they make the big bucks.

Today

Today I did my blog. I sat down and listen to the lecture. I also wrote down some notes as well.

Terms

I have been gone the past week and have really not learned much. I do however know that they are very important to know for vid production.

Today I took a test. I failed terribly. I will have to study the words and definitions now that i have them.

New School Better Than Old School

The new televisions that are digital are way better then the old standard analog tv's because they have more resolution. The more resolution you have, the better picture and color you will have on your TV.

What I did Today

I took notes the first half of the class. Ran around and hit on bailey for awhile. Then started drawing out the story board.

Audio and Visual

The audio and visual steps are very important. If you don't have a good visual you wont be able to see anything. If you don't have good audio then it sucks.

What i did today

Today I looked at our book to find out what it takes to make an awesome video about video production. I spent most of my time doing all the graduation crap.

Yesterday

Yesterday in class I didn't really take away that much. I think its retarded that are students are so gay. I would not change anything if i were you.

I think it is pretty stupid that you have to do all the standard crap. I say fuck em and feed em bologna.

This project turned out to be okay. To be completely honest I did not do a whole lot besides draw up the story boars. I like the way it turned because our video defiantly looked home made but for the circumstances it worked our. Our only problem was that no one really knew what our video was about. But hey you keep me in baileys group so i can work some magic;)

Next Time

Next time when I make a video i will come up with a less awesome idea that can be done in time. Our last idea could have been a sweet video we simply just didn't have enough time our the equipment needed. I would also have a better talent.

Proper Steps in a Sick Video

The steps in making a video is,  first need to have all the people, money, and equipment to do so. You have  to have  a plan in what your going to make and how your going to make it. After it is filmed the video needs to be gone through and edited until it is purely perfection.

Producer Importance

The producer's most important job is to have the money ready to start the production. They also have to have the perfect spot picked out for filming.

Positions

Yesterday I learned a lot about all the positions that have to take place in a movie studio. The one that interested me the most was the recorder because he doesn't have to be around a lot people but his job is still very important.

Copyrights Again

I have learned that if you take someones copyrighted work and call it your own, you can be sued for thousands of dollars. It can also work the other way as well. If you create something and do not copyright it, other people can then take that and make bank off of it. In a studio I know that there is a director, a filmer, and an audio guy, that is about all i could tell you about possisions in a film studio.

Johnny Cash Vs. Gordon Jenkins

In this Case Gordon Jenkins (a song righter and singer) accused Johnny Cash of copying and reproducing a song of his. The two songs were slightly different but when set side by side, most of the lines sounded the same, with the same lyrics even. After 15 years of dispute, this case was actually settled outside of the court room, Jenkins sued Mr. Cash for  defaming him with the song that he originally wrote. This 1968 out of court settlement approached the hundred thousand mark.

A copyright means that when someone wrights something, no one else can take that and call it there own. To use the material that is copyrighted you have to ask for permission.

Copy Right Reading

After reading the link I learned that a copy right is when someone  something, it makes it illegal for someone to copy it and call it there own.

I think a copy right probably calls dibs on a copy of something, such as a business logo or a product. Once you have it copy righted it makes it illegal for someone else to duplicate what is copy righted. I think, I really have no idea what a copy right is.

Things I have learned

So far in this class i have learned that i really don't like sitting by Terisa. I have also learned some things about advertisement, such as not all advertisement works. The most important thing that i have learned is that to make a really kick A commercial you really have to know the product and the owner of that product. Then put everything together and have a really creative commercial.

Projects in Class

I thought that Kaitlins project was the best. I think it was the best because her commercial had Ashley Fiolek in it and i find her to be extremely gorgeous. Kaitlin didn't present it very well but but Ashley Fiolek defiantly made up for the lost ground.

LOGO'S

I thought that these logo's were boring before i saw the hidden messages. It is important to know your company if you are advertising for them because, like the hidden arrow in fedex shows they are a transporting buisness.

Steve Jobs

This article in not interesting to me even a little bit. I don't have any of the devices that he designed and probably never will. In my opinion Steve is probably a rich nerd that i could stand to be around for about 2 seconds at the most.

Favorite Class

My favorite class this year is metal shop. I like metal shop because i enjoy working with metal and welding. I think its a good skill to have because you can build things that are one of a kind and that no one else has.
